IBP is a strong advocate of health and fitness as a lifestyle, whether at a gym, at home, or recreational.  Our services provide you with customized and effective fitness  education, progression programs for lifestyle training, special events and athletics/competition.

Our Fitness Philosophy:

Fitness goes far beyond the gym and should be safe, effective, manageable and fun. IBP believes in progressive fitness, addressing muscular imbalances, weaknesses, and building from the foundation on up to speed/power/agility training (depending on your personal goal).

It is essential to listen to your body and communicate how you are feeling throughout the process.  Together, we will then make necessary adjustments along the way. It is up to you to apply yourself and believe in yourself, and to put in the work.

Training Methodology:

A strong, functional, mobile body is an athletic body.  A well-rounded approach to fitness includes functionality from head to toe. Training the entire body-unit is essential for the body to look, feel, and function at its best.

We focus on the body as an open system (meaning your entire body is connected and works together). You can expect us to asses: balance, strength, flexibility, core, breathing, mobility, movement patterns, endurance, and speed.

If you are experiencing an injury or dysfunction, our professional trainers will modify exercises to meet your specific requirements and implement corrective exercise programming.

We offer a variety of training styles that are customized specific to your preferences, needs and goals.

Some of these include:

Resistance / Weight Training, Calisthenics, Circuit Training, H.I.I.T. Training, Athletic Training: Strength, Speed, Power, Agility, Manual Resistance, Corrective Exercise, Yoga and yoga therapy are some of the variations of exercise available.  Depending upon your fitness goals, Yoga and ballet may also be incorporated to provide flexibility and variety.

Adult, Mommy & Me, Youth, and Seniors. There are some that are offered on a continual basis and others that can be developed depending on your team and schedule.

Team Sports:

Sport specific:
No matter what sport you play, we have the knowledge and people to train you for your athletic endeavor from 5K to football field.

IP2 program:
Our unique IP2 – injury prevention and improved performance program not only establishes early preventative exercises and stretching that will allow the athlete to stay on the field but also sets them up for proper building blocks that allow that athlete to make improvements.  We offer shoulder injury prevention for baseball and volleyball, and our knee injury prevention program for soccer and basketball.

We have provided consulting at several facilities in the Reno/Sparks area.  We have worked with leagues and teams, state and city entities, corporate wellness and individual workplaces.  Whether your consulting needs are for a group staff wellness program or individual wellness, we are well equipped to provide you with these services.
